Charlie Palmgren, Ph.D., Senior Associate

Dr. Charlie Palmgren brings a depth and breath of understanding and experience in change processes that is impressive. Charlie’s 35 years of research and experience have led many to look to him for organizational change and development expertise. During the 1970's , Charlie provided much of the change-related intellectual capital in the startup of one of the world's premier change management organizations.

In 1993, Charlie co-founded SynerChange International, an Atlanta-based consultancy. Often labeled the "consultant’s consultant,"  Charlie is a world authority on the Creative InterChange process and realized tremendous success when introducing the process to the business sector in the mid-70’s under the name "synergy." He is credited with developing most of the exercises in current use to equip leaders and organizations with the Creative InterChange competencies.

Dr. Palmgren's approach to coaching teams and individuals through Creative InterChange provided the basis for a 1998 award-winning CD-based training program called COACH. The program was developed with a client organization and is used internally to teach management consultants critical coaching skills.

Early in his career, Charlie applied his expertise to personal and family therapy, drug prevention and education. Dr. Palmgren acted as a consultant to the Carter Administration providing insight and expertise in the area of healthcare reform and at-risk youths.
