What is Creative Interchange?

Often, organizational change and transformation efforts fail due to lack of shared vision and collaborative work skills. The willingness to struggle through transition is achieved through commitment to a shared vision. The ability to navigate change successfully depends on members' skill sets. While many organizations invest sizable sums of money on the technical aspects of their changes, few if any, engage in efforts to fundamentally alter the human interaction process.

Creative Interchange is a process, unique to human beings, through which we learn, change and perform toward our highest potential - individually and in groups. Creative Interchange enables committed, collaborative, creative change.

Creative Interchange facilitates change by enabling people and organizations to:

bullet

discover the unique perspective and innovative ideas of others

bullet

appreciate this diversity

bullet

integrate diversity to expand what one can know, appreciate, imagine, and produce

bullet

utilize this expanded capacity to transform ideas into action and enable change.

Creative Interchange is a repeatable process that can be learned. For more information about Creative Interchange and ways to ensure your change efforts are Creative Interchange-enabled, contact us.

Creative Interchange Institute, Inc. (CII) gratefully acknowledges the groundbreaking work of both Dr. Henry Wieman in formulating his understanding of the creative transformation process and Dr. Charlie Palmgren for identifying key conditions under which we can engage Creative Interchange.

WE NEED TO GET BETTER AT WORKING TOGETHER...

"...I think people are recognizing this in work settings everywhere. I know of no exceptions in any kind of organizations - we have to get better at working together. We just simply have to get better at working together. The two big changes needed in work environments are for people to work together, and for people to be more adaptive. Those are huge changes, and I don't know of any industry anywhere that doesn't wrestle with them."
