Examples of client situations which have benefited from assistance in managing their change processes:

After a  mega-merger, the CIO of a high-technology organization wanted to increase the return-on-investment  for IT-enabled change projects. To support that mandate, a change management toolkit was defined, designed, and developed to embed in the project management methodology.

An information services organization decided to re-skill its members by introducing new technology, processes, and standards. The resistance issues were not anticipated and the leadership was caught off guard. The effort was costing more time and effort than expected.

During the merger/acquisition of two large telecommunications organizations (56,000 +), integration teams needed training in planning and managing change.

During a merger-related downsizing, key professionals were needed to stay through the transition period. As their peers were disappearing, the group stayed focused and felt confident in their ability to handle the uncertain future. A Creative Interchange program was identified as making the difference.

A Fortune 500 organization wanted to embed organizational change practices and tools into their process improvement methodology. The result was a more robust approach to process improvement efforts.

A professional services organization needed to respond to the marketplace by providing skilled change consultants to work alongside their technology-focused peers.

During the lunch hour, an  organization announced a pending 1,000 person layoff and fired the CIO--effective immediately. We were in Day 3 of one of our teaming programs, when participants from this organization returned and needed to work through their highly emotional responses.

A 3,000 member diverse church was relocating to a larger facility. The church elders became aware of resistance in the neighborhood to the move. Strategies for communicating change to build commitment and reduce resistance was important.

A wilderness restoration volunteer organization needed change-related tools to assist in stakeholder identification followed by planning and implementing their change recommendations.

A wealthy family sought the services of a facilitator to help resolve building conflicts related to shared family assets. Even though each member was a successful professional in his/her own right, they experienced problems is trying to work together to resolve the situation. Each family member was contacted and his/her position, expectations, etc. were gathered. The one- day, facilitated meeting was scheduled for Chicago as the middle ground for the participants. Afterward, the feedback included not only thanks for assisting in reaching an agreement, but also an acknowledgement that if Carol had not handled it as she did, one or more members would have refused to participate. Everyone felt "heard".

And many others.

If your organization is undertaking a major change effort, leveraging our expertise can make a difference.

"I am involved with a merger transition team. This will be most beneficial." -- Manager, Telecommunications Company

"Really opened my eyes to things I had not considered yet are so impacting to the success of the change." -- Manager, Electronics Company

Creative Interchange..

Letter to the President...

"Personal/team growth was tracked and a written report was prepared. Unsolicited feedback to me by numerous employees speaks to the value that Carol provided in her efforts. [This program] has been an opportunity to experiment outside traditional learning approaches, and is a model which offers tremendous possibilities."  --Assistant Vice President-Information Services, telecommunications

"There is no doubt in my mind that an organization that assimilates the mindset and techniques behind this process, and uses them consistently, would absolutely bury its competitors." --Senior Systems Architect

"I am constantly amazed at the amount of quality learning we can compress into limited time frames. The new Problem-Solving method we learned will forever be a great asset. It sponsors freeing our minds to creatively work together for a common resolution." --Revenue Assurance Manger

"Who would benefit...Most emphatically-- any team that must work closely to share ideas and accomplish a larger purpose. The investment in trust, creative thinking and valuing ideas of others will payoff big time."   --Programmer Analyst, Information Services

"Tremendous! It has provided me a much greater capacity to learn from others, see the good in ideas that I otherwise would have discounted, and given me the courage to be creative and take risks." --Manager, telecommunications company

"Relieved group stress during times of uncertainty (merger and downsizing)." --Manager

"I wanted you to know that when I interviewed at Ameritech, the interviewer asked me what helped get us through the merger. I told him the Creative Interchange program made the difference.' --Senior Systems Analyst

"Lessons from the class--Valuing Others. Not based on abstract principle, but because over the course of the program you see this demonstrated right before your eyes over and over. Learning, feeling and really believing that 'everyone has value', was the group learning that our group most easily agreed upon. Among the participants, dramatically different and deeper level of familiarity and trust." -- Programmer Analyst

"I think high school juniors and seniors would benefit from this as well as their teachers and administrators. In the proper hands, this program could help young people to use what they're losing and that is their imaginations." --Billing Analyst

"I'm just glad I had this opportunity. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity. It's life-impacting. Not many things are so momentous." --Revenue Assurance Manager

"I approach these days with enthusiasm. I am excited when I come here. It's been a long, long time since I felt that way about any learning. ...Anyway, I feel like a kid when I come here, with childlike wonder, curiosity, enthusiasm and trust. I can even remember some time ago, the year I started working at [this company], fresh out of college, that I began to feel something dying inside. an inner something that was slowly being crushed. Here, it's rekindled. ...What is impossible today may be the norm tomorrow." --Revenue Analyst
